Tracking your Fitness?
Fitness trackers are popular. Look around, and you see them on people, in ads, in posts on social media, but which fitness trackers are the best? Aren’t there new ones coming out all the time?
It gets confusing looking at all the options. There are tracker apps on phones, smart watches, or pedometers. There are running specific trackers with GPS, cycling special tracking and GPS capable options, and even water-resistant trackers for swimming. Not everyone needs costly trackers since we are not all training for Triathlons.
Here is a list of some top affordable fitness trackers.
Fitbit Flex 2
Often this model is considered the best tracker for the budget. It is the latest from Fitbit. This version has a very slim band compared to their older models and has no screen. The heart rate and tracking are not as accurate as others but you are connected to the Fitbit community, and you can do challenges within the community which is very motivational. Everything you do backs up to the Fitbit app or your desktop computer Fitbit program. This model runs in the $60-dollar range.
Garmin
Garmin has several models of trackers out now. VivoFit3 is a non-techy version that does not need a smartphone, although it can be synced to one. This model has a one-year battery and is water-resistant and can increase what it can do if you use the app on your phone. The VivoFit3 is in the 80-dollar range.
Garmin also has the Vivosport, and this has onboard GPS tracking. It can give you both step and stair counting, the distance traveled, your calories burned, and sleep statistics. Fortunately, there is a long battery life of up to seven days without GPS. It is waterproof for showering or swimming.
Fitbit Zip
Want the clip kind of tracker? This cute tracker clips on you instead of wearing it on your wrist. It is easy to read. The Fitbit Zip runs on a watch battery that is said to last 6 months, so there is no charging necessary. The Zip syncs with the Fitbit app or your computer also. You can track yourself. Cost runs in the $60-dollar range also.
Bigger Ticket Trackers
If a larger cost budget is what you have, you have more choices. You can look at the affordable ones, or you can review the Apple Watch 3, Samsung Gear Fit 3 Pro, or Polar M430. Each fitness tracker has benefits and strengths to why you should get each one.
Whichever one you choose, be sure you use it! Don’t pay big money and not use all the bells and whistles of the fitness tracker!
